Clinical governance and psychological services

Who we are

Valued Living brings together experienced, accredited clinicians across counselling, CBT, EMDR, psychology and psychiatry. Our services range from private therapy and psychological assessment to commissioned treatment pathways, work-focused reporting and expert clinical opinion.

What connects our clinicians is a shared commitment to using the most effective approach for each person, making therapy fit around existing commitments and keeping support as accessible as possible. That includes remote appointments, availability from 9am to 9pm seven days per week, and a range of options designed to keep treatment flexible and affordable.

Why we established Valued Living

Valued Living was established because psychological support works best when it is shaped around the person and adapted to their needs. We wanted to create a service that meets people where they are, considers their immediate needs and longer-term goals, and allows therapy to progress at the right pace for them.

That means matching each person with the right therapist, agreeing the level of support they need, considering which therapeutic approaches are most suitable, and making any necessary adaptations. It also means paying particular attention to trauma, complexity and difficulties that may not fit neatly within standard models of care.

As Valued Living has grown, those same principles have guided our work with individuals, employers, healthcare providers, insurers, solicitors and public-sector organisations.

Our team

Valued Living recruits experienced clinicians with extensive NHS backgrounds, including counsellors, CBT and EMDR therapists, psychologists and partner consultant psychiatrists.

We look for clinicians who can use evidence-based models with flexibility and judgement, adapting the pace, structure and style of therapy to the person in front of them. That may mean working more slowly, taking a more relational or integrative approach, or using formulation to guide treatment where a standard protocol would not be suited to the person.

We also believe good clinical work depends on clinicians feeling supported. Our management team aims to provide responsive guidance, protect clinicians from unnecessary administrative pressure, and offer fair rates wherever possible, so they can focus their time and energy on the people they are supporting.
